La Troba Kung-Fu is the project of Dusminguet-singer and accordionist Joan Garriga. Dusminguet was together with Ojos de Brujo, Amparanoia and Macaco one of the most well known bands of the Spanish mestizo-music.

With La Troba Kung-Fu, frontman Joan Garriga is now put to the forefront again. His inspiration and influence remain unchanged and thus very diverse. The music of La Troba Kung-Fu sounds like cumbia, Catalan rumba, Cuban son, vallenato, reggae, salsa, rai, boogie woogie ...

After many concerts throughout Spain, La Troba Kung-Fu released their first album in early '07, "Clavell Morenet”. The album contains 14 songs that make you constantly look for passion, fantasy and nostalgia. Music that carries you to the warm shores of the Mediterranean coast, to the delicious smell of a Catalan village...

The first album of La Troba Kung-Fu was not only well received in Spain but also in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The second album, that is released lately, is also becomming a success story. Yet La Troba Kung-Fu, like many other Spanish bands, is specialised in live performances.
