Lady Angelina

Lady Angelina combines her undeniable Flemish roots with a strong penchant for French nostalgia, Spanish passion and a deep fascination for Mexico. She sighs and yearns while swinging on the euphoric and captivating rhythms of accordion, clarinet, double bass, vibraphone and musical saw. Her hoarse and sultry voice may remind some of us of the amazing musical style of Lhasa de Sela… Lady Angelina, Antwerp City Nomad, recently collaborated with one of Belgium ’s most respected singer-songwriters, Guido Belcanto, and with Flemish blues legend, Roland Van Campenhout. Her second CD Amor y Coraçon offers a mix of chanson, gipsy swing, mariachi, flamenco and even some tango sung in French, Spanish and Dutch. The album was very well received by several national radio stations such as Radio 1, Klara and Radio 2 and even earned her a spot on De Laatste Show, the most popular late night TV show in Flanders.
